The latest version of Nights includes a new data export feature. This enables you to access all your sleep history and dream notes on your Mac or PC in .csv format. Your dream data logged on the iPhone or iPod touch can be exported to your chosen email address including mood, sleep rating and dream notes.

Secure Sleep Journal on iPhone

Nights now includes a passcode lock feature, enabling you to secure your sleep history on the iPhone. This is particularly useful if you keep notes on the quality of sleep and dream history which may include personal details. The passcode lock feature can be enabled from the settings panel in the latest version of Nights.

Notes and Mood Tracking on iPhone

Cycles version 2.0 has been approved and is on the App Store. This is a major release of Cycles, the iPhone Period and Mood tracking application. These new features should help you plan your menstrual cycle with even more accuracy. It is released as a free upgrade for existing Cycles iPhone users.

Nights Sleep Timing Enhanced

Nights v1.20, the latest update to the iPhone app which helps you to track your sleeping pattern, has been approved.

The update enhancements the timing engine, allowing you to exit application, and continue timing your sleeping pattern in the ‘background’. This allows you to use the iPhone alarm clock while running a Nights session.

Firefox to Safari History Converter

History Converter lets you import your entire Firefox 3 history into Safari 4 on Mac OS X.

Firefox stores history in a file called places.sqlite, located in your Firefox profile directory. This file is a SQLite database which cannot be directly imported into Safari.

History Converter queries the Firefox database for history, including the view count, date, url and title of site. The history is exported from Firefox 3, converted and automatically imported into Safari 4.

Cycles Period Tracking for iPhone

The first COHAUS iPhone application has been been approved by Apple and is available in the App Store now. Cycles is a period and fertility tracking app for the iPhone and iPod Touch with design and ease-of-use at it’s heart.

There are other menstrual cycle / fertility applications for iPhone, but they do not appear to have any usability or design consideration thought about while being made. Many seem to have gone the route of making all parts of the application very pink and very girly. Cycles is aimed at a more mature user that wants a discrete, easy to use application that works with their monthly cycle.

Cycles Awaiting Approval

After a busy last week I’m happy to say the first COHAUS application ‘Cycles’ has been submitted to the App Store and is awaiting approval. Cycles is a period & fertility tracking application with design and ease-of-use at it’s heart. The total project duration was 4 weeks exactly. I’m now focussing on getting the web side of things in place with screenshots, feature descriptions and possibly a video demo.
